Program | Description |
Teroka Warisan (Primary) | Teroka Warisan seeks to inculcate the learning of the Malay language through exposure to Singapore’s history as well as the culture and heritage of the Malays. Using the locally-written bilingual children’s storybook, “There Are Saga Seeds In Our Pockets”, various themes will be teased out to expose children to the exciting adventures of Mahir and Aqil, the two main characters in the book. At the same time, pupils will discover more about Singapore’s history,culture and heritage of the Malays and the beauty of the Malay language. Venue required: Classroom with projector and laptop |
Budaya Yangkubawa (Primary & Secondary) | Budaya YangKuBaWa is a cultural programme which focuses on the traditional Malay art forms of Wayang Kulit, Kuda Kepang, Batik and Wau. The aim of this programme is to enhance pupils’ understanding and appreciation of traditional Malay art forms. Pupils will be introduced to the 4 genres mentioned and given an in-depth understanding of the art forms. Venue required: Classroom with AVA System |
Puisi Tradisional (Primary,Secondary,Tertiary) | Students will be introduced to the genre of Traditional Malay poetry. Students will also be introduced to the different types of Traditional Malay Poetry such as Pantun dan Syair Jenaka, Pantun dan Syair Pendidikan,Pantun dan Syair Kasih Sayang and Pantun dan Syair berdasarkan Cerita Rakyat. Our programmes can be made into a performance such as ‘Dikir Barat,’, choral singing and sketches. Customization is definitely possible! Venue required: Classroom with AVA System |
Puisi Moden (Secondary & Tertiary) | Students will be introduced to the genre of modern Malay poetry. Students will also be introduced to the use of symbolism and imagery among others in Modern Malay Poetry. The use of themes in Malay poetry will further be explained to the students and this will culminate in the students being able to create their own poetry upon completion of the programme. Venue required: Classroom with AVA System |
Cerpen (Secondary & Tertiary) | Students will be introduced to Malay short stories (cerpen) and narratives (naratif). Students will also be introduced to the technique of writing short stories and narratives.The use of themes in Malay poetry will further be explained to the students and this will culminate in the students being able to create their own short stories upon completion of the programme.
